I encourage freedom of movement

Over the past few years…
Many of our lives, our routines have been uprooted – we’ve not been able to move as often, to connect with others as much, and have had that sense of space and freedom wiped away. These lessons have taught me more than ever, how important a consistent practice on the mat is. It allows for reflection, emotions to be physically moved out of the body, and some much needed self-care that we are all way too good at putting aside! I wish to encourage space. To whisper efforts of appreciation to our mind & body collective.
My love of breath work
Breath work is a somatic therapy because it works with the BODY first – opening the subconscious, allowing it to safely release trapped emotions held in our autonomic nervous system (basically our emotional storage system).
We have the opportunity to reprogram and bring in a healthy control of the nervous system – becoming aware of the automatic pilot we may have become accustomed to within our fast paced lives. Through attention and connection to the Vagus nerve, we can create better emotional responses using breath work. Learn how to balance thought patterns from chattering brains (known as the “Citta Vritti”)
Breath as the barometer…
Teaching
The classes are designed to project a feeling of lightness and empowerment!
The simple aim is ‘freedom of movement’. Let this m set the tone to tackle life’s inevitable obstacles. Root in a practice, allow awareness to flourish. Get onto the mat, see you there.
